Meet Your Dog Trainer
Hi, my name is Julia
I am a passionate dog trainer with over 2 years of experience in the training world. I am focused on developing balanced dogs who are socialised, confident in all situations and cope well to changes in their environment . Most importantly, I aim to stegnthen the life-long bond you have with your dog through positive reinforcment.
In 2025, I will be commecing a nationally recognzied Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training to further enhance my understanding of dogs, so that I can help you better!
I enjoy a healthy work-life balance as I love spending time with my family, our many animals and creating my dream home with my partner. Part of this dream is to establish an animal sanctuary as a tribute to the loss of our beloved cat, Zeus, in 2023. This sanctuary will be a haven for various animals needing help or a permanent place to live in a loving and safe environment.
In the coming months, I will also be welcoming some adorable puppies into my home with the hopes of them becoming assistant dogs.
Training Method
Your Dog Trainer uses positive reinforcement, a training method that rewards good behaviour to help dogs learn and thrive. This is done by utilizing treats, pats, praise, and play as motivators to create positive associations with desired behaviours, fostering cooperation and trust. Julia believes in positive reinforcement because it not only builds a strong bond between you and your dog, but also ensures lasting behavioural success through kindness and encouragement. This approach allows your dog to feel confident, happy, and well-adjusted, making training an enjoyable experience for everyone!
Julia can help you and your dog with a variety of training including, general obedience, advanced command work, socialisation and behavioural challenges.
